Thanks to Sharon Dennis, who was an effervescently creepy Presenter in Evansville Civic Theatre’s production of Murderess last fall, ToadHall Productions of Las Cruces, NM will present Murderess for four performances over the next two weekends. Sharon recommended the play to Toad Hall’s artistic director, Ken Forestal. In one of their past collaborations, Ken cast Sharon as Falstaff in Henry IV, which I very much wish I could have seen.
Toad Hall Productions returns with ‘Murderess’
ToadHall productions’ latest offering is “Murderess,” by Anne Bertram, “an intriguing play composed of six monologues by six historical women suspected of or charged with murder,” said ToadHall founder and play director Ken Forestal. Bertram describes the women in her play as “notorious killers from American history (who) reveal their secrets in a suite of monologues.”
